Spindrift is another webcomic I read that has a very in depth story and intriguing plot. It features a modern fantasy story that is free to read and it started back in 2006, at least with the first ideas. It began production in 2011 and has been published into a book that same year.

It follows the story of a character named Morwenna who is caught up in the crossfire of two races. She happens to be half of each race and is alienated by both sides leaving her isolated. However fate intervenes and she is now on the run from forces that want her prisoner or worse...
The artwork is quite nice and the characters are well designed and the dialogue flows smoothly, if your looking for a good modern fantasy story i suggest checking Spindrift.
